I am a rising junior from Miles City, Montana. I am 20 years old and a Journalism major with a Climate Change Studies minor. I am set to graduate in December of 2025. I focus primarily on reporting and writing for print publications and websites, however, I have an interest in audio storytelling, and web design.

While in Bangladesh, I will focus my attention on the profusion of single use plastics and plastic pollution. I hope to see a waste plastic processing plant. I am interested how plastic waste has affected public health in Bangladesh, as well as the issue of where the plastic goes after it is collected, and the other uses of plastic. Over the last semester as we have prepared ourselves for our trip, I have become very interested in how the plastic industry has impacted climate change, not only in Bangladesh, but around the world.

I look forward to going to Bangladesh with my classmates. I am most excited to go to the Botanical Gardens in Dhaka, go to the markets, and try a lot of new food that we do not have in Montana. I look forward to embarking on this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
