Renna is a senior from South Dakota studying journalism and social work. Her social work centers around refugee resettlement and her goal is to combine social work and journalism to tell people’s stories. Her work with people who have resettled in the U.S. has offered a window into how hard people work to stay in their communities and what they do in order to build and maintain a home. In the Sundarbans, I am interested in how restricting access to wildlands is affecting families that rely on hunting as a way to make a living and feed their families.
