I am a senior from South Dakota studying journalism and social work. I love visual journalism and am focused primarily on photography but love videography as well. My work in social work centers around refugee resettlement and my goal is to combine social work and journalism to tell people’s stories. As I have worked with resettled populations in the U.S. I’ve learned how hard people to stay in the communities and what they do in order to remain at home. In the Sundarbans, I am interested in how restricting access to wildlands is affecting families that rely on hunting as a way to make a living and feed their families.
